The protocols and requirements form the perspective of the Court or Tribunal
BIO
Philip Martin is a lawyer/planner with 30 years of industry experience. He is a full time Senior Member at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal (VCAT), mainly practising for many years in the Planning and Environment List. Prior to VCAT, Philip was a partner at a national law firm and he has done various guest lecturing, publishing and tutoring in planning law. Philip’s own arboriculture situation is a mixed bag, as he primarily lives in a Melbourne inner city suburb in a villa unit, but also spends time on a Gippsland farm.

This panel discussion will explore the role of different individuals during legal proceedings regarding trees.
We will discuss:
· the protocols and requirements from the perspective of the Court or tribunal (Philip Martin, Member VCAT)
· legal representation of individuals (John Rantino - Maddocks)
· and the tasks and requirements expected of an expert witness (Cameron Ryder, Ryder Consulting) to fulfil legal obligations.
